Random thoughts and rants.

I just finished my first knitting project!

I made a baby poncho for my wee Mexican-non-union-counterpart niece. Piccies of her wearing it next week, but in the mean time here it is modelled by my teddy bear.

So not only did I make my first full item, but in order to do that I had to learn how to cast on, join different colour wool together, and bind off. Yerks. Learning overload :)

Nice work, your niece will be well-cosy.

Great knitting. But worried about your grammar/spelling comments - what would you do to poor folk like me who can't get their fingers to type in synch with their brain....? ;0)

Snow crystals - should see the amazing stocking filler (!) I got my DH for Christmas. £4.99 and filled with some real beauties

Hey India :)

Casual mis-spellings don't bother me, I just tend to point them out. It's the people who quite clearly can't be arsed to do it properly that really annoy me.

Congrats on the first project Maddie, a lot of learning in that. I don't think we've met (I'm a pal of Kathleen and India's) but as one of my resolutions is to get to more meet-ups, hopefully we will !

Nice blanket!
I'm with India, how about those of us who are dyslexic and quite often don't notice incorrect spellings, for months, if ever :-(
( I have tried really hard to make sure this is OK!)

Spelling - know what you mean, Maddie. What makes me cringe is when I go back over my carefully proof-read blog and find that I've got 'there' instead of 'their' or 'to' for 'too' - makes me feel/look really fick! (or more so than usual :0)) Anyway, how's the knitting going????
